How do I fix neck and shoulder pain from screens?

Confidence: Method practice

Hours of looking down at a phone or laptop pull the head forward and round the shoulders. In that position the neck carries far more load than it was built for, the upper back stiffens, and by evening you feel the ache and tightness across the neck and shoulders - the famous "tech neck". Add stress on top, and the muscles simply never get the command to let go.

How Gravity Stretching helps

Gravity Stretching unloads the neck and upper spine and opens the chest and shoulders that screens keep tightening. Supported hangs let the head and neck finally rest, gentle stretches undo the forward-rounded shape, and everything is paired with breathing - the mind switches off only through the breath, and with it goes the clench. It is not only the neck that gets easier - the whole body does.

A short, regular practice keeps it from building back up. If you have numbness or tingling running into the arms, tell your trainer beforehand - we start even softer and go little by little.
