Confidence: Method practice

If your back hurts in the morning, sleep position is a fair thing to wonder about. The simple guide: keep the spine as neutral as you can. On your back, a pillow under the knees eases the lower back; on your side, a pillow between the knees keeps the hips level; flat on the stomach tends to be hardest on the lower back and neck. But here is the honest part - position helps, yet a back that wakes up stiff was usually squeezed and tight long before you lay down.

How Gravity Stretching helps

That is where Gravity Stretching comes in. Through the day gravity presses the spine down and it slowly compresses; in the hang it lengthens and unloads - decompression of the body creates space and takes the pressure off - so it goes into the night with room to spare, and no pillow arrangement has to fight an already squeezed spine. The discs drink up like sponges, and the night becomes what it should be: rest.

So set the pillows up for a neutral spine and give the back a regular, gentle unloading during the day - the two work together beautifully.
