What does the crunching sound during a hang mean?
Answered by the founder of the method
That's what we warmly call the healthy crunch - not damage, but a sign that the joints have finally been given space and are releasing. Plenty of people say it's actually one of the most satisfying sensations during a hang.
It fades with practice
Session by session it gets quieter and quieter, and eventually it stops altogether - a clear sign the body is loosening up.
When to flag it to your trainer
If something feels less like the body getting lighter and more like discomfort, say so right away - the trainer will adjust your position.
