How is Gravity Stretching different from a massage?

Confidence: Method practice

You've named the main difference exactly. A massage mostly works on the symptom - it releases muscle tone - and the effect usually fades fast.

The hang works on the cause

The spine gets compressed all day - laptop, scooter, sitting - and in the hang it does the opposite: it lengthens under your own weight, the joints get space back, and the body slowly relearns how to move straighter.

Similar feeling, deeper effect

It feels a lot like a deep massage and relaxation, but the cause it reaches is deeper. Many people do both - they work well together.
