How do I release piriformis syndrome (deep glute pain)?

Equipo del método Gravity Stretching

A deep, nagging ache in the buttock that can shoot down the leg often comes from the piriformis - a small muscle deep in the hip that helps rotate the leg. When it gets tight and irritated, usually from long sitting or overuse, it can press on the sciatic nerve right beside it, which is why piriformis pain often feels a lot like sciatica.

How Gravity Stretching helps

The relief comes from two directions, and Gravity Stretching works on both: slow, supported stretches release the tight deep-hip muscles so they stop squeezing the nerve, while decompression in straps makes space in the lower spine and takes load off the whole area. Nothing is forced - you move within comfort and let the deep muscle let go on its own terms.

Ease in gently and give it a few regular sessions; a tight muscle releases faster when it feels safe than when it is pushed. This is a wellness practice, not medical treatment - if you have strong numbness, weakness in the leg, or the pain keeps worsening, see a doctor first.
